Service Kits

A vacuum pump service kit is a pre-packaged set of all the consumable wear parts needed to perform a scheduled service on a specific pump model. Service kits are supplied at four common tiers — filter service kits (filters and oil), seal & gasket kits (all static seals and shaft seals), minor service kits (seals plus vanes and filters), and major / repair kits (everything in a minor kit plus bearings, shaft sleeves, and longer-interval wear items).

Seals & Gaskets

Vacuum pump seals and gaskets are the dynamic and static sealing elements that maintain the vacuum boundary — shaft seals on rotating drives, FKM or FFKM O-rings on end-cover joints, head and exhaust-manifold gaskets on bolted flanges, and PTFE diaphragms on chemistry pumps. Material choice (FKM, FFKM, NBR, PTFE, graphite-fibre) depends on the temperature and chemistry of the duty.

Vanes & Rotors

Vacuum pump vanes are sliding sealing blades — typically carbon graphite (for dry pumps) or phenolic resin (for oil-sealed pumps) — that ride against the inside of the pump cylinder and form the chambers that compress and expel gas.

Oils & Fluids

Vacuum pump oil is a specially refined hydrocarbon (mineral) or perfluoropolyether (PFPE) fluid that lubricates rotating parts, seals the vane-to-cylinder gap, dissipates heat, and absorbs condensable vapours from the process gas — selected to match the pump's duty cycle.

Ironware & Castings

Vacuum pump ironware and castings refers to the heavy mechanical components — cylinder bodies, end covers, rotors, pistons, hinge bars, and exhaust manifolds — that form the structural and pressure-bearing parts of the pump.

Filters & Bearings

Vacuum pump filters protect the pump from inlet contamination and remove oil mist from the exhaust; bearings support the rotating shaft. Both are routine wear items replaced at scheduled service intervals.

Repair Kits

Vacuum pump repair kits are comprehensive overhaul packages — going beyond a routine service kit — that include all wear parts plus longer-interval components like bearings, anti-suckback valves, and (where applicable) hinge bars and piston rings, for a full pump rebuild.
